For upcoming Eid, thousands of Muslims in the USA will become amateur butchers for the day. They will hack away at a oat or sheep’s throat until it dies, I have witnessed this.
Why are they allowed to circumvented animal cruelty laws?

To be “halal” or suitable for eating, there is a special ritual in slaughtering the animal. It’s tradition and religious expression.
