It really depends. Sometimes holidays are a local thing, sometimes it’s a federal thing. Many times, individual companies make their own policies on which holidays they will observe. If you work in the service industry, you’re probably going to be working nearly every holiday. Even if a holiday is not official, it doesn’t mean it can’t be observed. Schools don’t close for minority religious holidays, but students who follow that religion are allowed the day off to observe it. There is just no point in paying to have a school open with 95-96% of the student body won’t be there.
always a complainer so what holiday is a thorn in your side now ! cant dress up as a convincing girl for halloween . no family wnats to invite you for thanksgiving dinner ? not a christain for chistmas or no one buys you a gift ? dont like the new yaer brought in because it just means another year of disgusting existence to you ? ahh foorth of july dont you like the freedoms you have here in the usa , big freedom you can move anywhere you like just go ahead and leave i promise you wont be missed by a soul.
