What is there to do in the Caribbean?
Question by Kel: What is there to do in the Caribbean?
Generally, we go on City holidays, or to a place with lots of attractions (theme parks). However i really would like to go to the Caribbean – like Jamaica/St Lucia/Dominican Republic. Although, i was wondering if there is anything other than beaches/swimming pools/water sports? as i think i would get bored of this after a day or two. What else is there to explore?
Thanks.

Depends on where in the Caribbean you go, but there are Mayan Ruins, Jungle explorations, shopping, snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, jet skis, rock/mountian climbing, horseback riding, 4×4 with jeeps, 4 wheelers, catamarans, rent motorcycles, kayaking, hiking, biking, dune buggies, ziplines through the jungle.
Have a good vacation

I know they have the zip lines in St. Lucia cause I went and it was awesome. I won’t travel to Jamaica so I don’t know what they have but you can look up each of these islands and find out what is available on them. Usually your hotel/resort can give you great ideas too.
Go to your library and get a book on travel in the Caribbean. Or go on-line to the different islands’ websites. Do a search for, e.g. “Cayman Islands tourism”, etc.
For tourists, the beaches are often the main reason for visiting the Caribbean islands. However, they also have history, interesting culture, adventure tours [such as ziplining - I'd guess you can do a search on "ziplining in the Caribbean" and get some leads], great food, shopping, etc.
