Mississauga is pretty much just a suburb of Toronto and doesn’t have many attractions itself, but it isn’t far at all to get to downtown Toronto where there’s much more to see. (about 30 minutes, depending on traffic and where exactly you’re going).
In Mississauga, the only things I can think of are Playdium (very big arcade), and Square One (mall). But in Toronto you have the CN Tower, harbour front, plenty of museums and galleries such as the Ontario Science Centre (hands-on, lots of fun), Royal Ontario Museum (or “ROM”), the Bata Shoe Museum if you want a museum that’s a little different – it’s all shoes! If you head north of Toronto to Vaughan (just 30 minutes from Toronto), you’ll find Canada’s Wonderland, our biggest amusement part in Canada. If you have younger kids though, you may enjoy Centre Island instead – that’s a short ferry ride from downtown Toronto to Toronto Island for an amusement park more suitable for youngsters.
Niagara Falls is also not too far away from Mississauga – it’s about an hour and well worth the drive if you’ve never seen the falls before.
