Q&A: Working Holiday in Canada for UK resident?
Question by Liss: Working Holiday in Canada for UK resident?
What is the best and cheapest way to organise a working holiday in Canada? I’m in the UK. I know there are sites such as BUNAC which help you with your visa and show you jobs boards etc… but then you have to pay them before you have a chance to look for a job. Is there somehow I can search for a job independently and then make arrangements for travel and visas? Even just hospitality jobs.

If you are here on a holiday, you are not permitted to work and no company will hire a foreigner for a job if there is a qualified Canadian to do the job. If you want to work here, you will require a work permit.
Too many people assume they can just visit a place and dabble in work. That is not the case here.
