There is no standard date that all schools will be back in session. However, most schools will be back in late August to early September.

Schools in the south tend to start the 3rd or 4th week of August, whereas schools in the north (especially northeast) tend to start after Labor day.
It depends on the school system – it is not standarzied. Where I teach my summer vacation ends after September 4th (Labor Day). But that is a very late beginning to the school year – even for my district.

it depends what state you live in… i know i think most of the states are september and i think the others are august. mine is august but i used to live in another state and it was september… so i dont know if theres more… but florida and probably georgia and the other states around it are august, and new england (if you dont know what that is, it’s the northeastern states, except new york) is september.

I start August 20th.
Most high schools and colleges that are on semesters begin late August. My university is on the quarter system and we begin in late September. Have a great trip!
