I’ve got about a 1000 pounds for a week and it will be for food, should I take some cash in dollars? Take Travellers cheques or just use my Barclays Visa Debit Card? I’ve looked into a bit and apparently with this card I can make withdrawals at The Bank of America without any charges, is that right too? I also hear Marks and Spencers do commission free exchanges and buy back for free upon return. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

You get the best exchange rate with you Visa Debit Card. Exchange rate is done at the wholesale bank rate for these transactions.
