Q&A: What is the nearest ski resort to Detroit but on the Canadian side?
Question by Jason M: What is the nearest ski resort to Detroit but on the Canadian side?
I am looking for the closest ski resort/area to Detroit BUT on the canadian side, like in Windsor or London, Ontario. My daughters want to go skiing over the upcoming holidays and they have never been to Canada so I thought I would combine the two. Thanks!

There is a lot of FLAT land between Detroit and London!
The place you are thinking of would be along the Niagara Escarpment to the south of Georgian Bay. A 5.5 hour drive!

Trip distance: 295 mi. ; Time: 5 hrs 23 mins
Boler Mountain (not actually a mountain, more like a hill) is located in London, about 2 hours from Detroit. Also, Cobble Hills in Thamesford is a good small hill.
