I live in the uk and on holiday in the USA. The iphone is cheaper and cheeper on contract in the USA AT&T but if I only use it in the uk will the charges go up excesivley or is there any way to change to package so it will be better to use in the uk!!!!! Thanks also I have an uncle
living in the USA!

Well you can’t change carriers on Apple, so you would he stuck on an AT&T contract. If you make calls, texts and especially use the internet your charges are going to be through the roof.
Do not do that. It’s an awful idea.

I don’t think you would be able to buy the iPhone 4 in the US because you are not from there. You would have to ask your uncle to buy it for you.
Even though you may end up with the phone, when it gets to the UK you’ll still have to pay roaming charges since it would no longer be in the US.
To make a long story short, you are better off trying to buy it from one of the many carriers in the UK that offer the iPhone 4 rather than trying to deal with the 1 carrier in the US.
