A credit card for sure.
i dont know about a licencse, but you can travel freely from state to state, but be prepared, the us is huge. i ran into a couple from sweden that rented a harley davidson motorcycle and were riding from chicago to los angeles and they said they seriously underestimated the length of the trip. i drive a truck in 48 states and wold love to tell you more about the states, iprefer the northern states in the summer. i love the mountains out west. from east to west the diversity is amazing
You will need a credit card and, if you don’t have car insurance of your own, will have to purchase insurance from the rental company (which can be very expensive).
Also, some rental companies will only rent to individuals over age 25. Best bet is to call ahead and check out the requirements.
