I found prices way more expensive when I was in England last time but that was a few years ago. Personally though, I’d spend it in Canada.

i went to london last month and it was expensive for me since i have to convert dollar to pound….and i am sure it will be cheaper to shop in canada…and canada has most of the same stores that england has…
p.s. i love primark in england lol
From my experience, the only things cheaper in England were chocolate, and wool sweaters (jumpers). Everything else was more, often a great deal more.
That may have changed, but, I would have some spare space in my suitcase, just in case!
The cost of living is higher in the UK than in Canada. The standards of living though are higher in Canada than the UK. However, shopping is better in the UK, ie London. Shoes , clothes are cheaper in some aspects.
I have friends visiting from Europe who after just 3 days in Canada (Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal) want to move here.
Just the varieties of cuisine, weather, activities exceed everything they can think of in the UK. Come here and enjoy not just the cities, but the countryside..
However, if all you want to do is shop.. then stay in Europe.
Note the different taxes .. in UK everything is 17.5% VAT. In Canada, out countrywide tax called the GST is 5%. Then add the different provincial taxes on top of the GST. In UK, the tax is included in the price. In Canada, it is seperate. Ontario has 8% tax, BC has 7% tax. Quebec has 10% I think. But in Alberta – there is not provincial tax.. so you only need to pay the GST !
