Q&A: Best place to holiday (USA)?

Question by Kylie Lott: Best place to holiday (USA)?
I’m going on holiday in the U.S. in a year, so which of these locations do you think is best? Opinions from people who have been there ONLY!
Thanks in advance!

1. Dallas, Texas.
2. Los Angeles, California.
3. San Francisco, California.
4. New York City, New York.

I’ve been to all of them, many times.

Of that list, hands down San Francisco.

San Francisco itself is an interesting/beautiful place to visit, but then the wine country, Lake Tahoe and other great places are close too.

Second choice would New York.

My opinion Los Angeles is just a big traffic jam.
Dallas, that would be my last choice for a vacation in Texas. For Texas go to Austin and San Antonio.

    Okay, in order:

    1. New York City
    2. San Francisco
    3. Dallas
    4. LA

    (Please don’t go to LA >.< )

Anyway, no matter where you go in the world, you won’t find any place like NYC. It’s such a unique and amazing city. It’s got everything, and I’m sure you won’t be let down :)

    - San Francisco (my hometown)
    - New York City (I regard it as the most typical American city)
    - Los Angeles (where I met my ex bf)

  3. I’ve been to all of them and I really hope that you go somewhere else in the States. Cities in the States are dirty, generic, and boring. You go to Europe to see cities, you go to the States to see the outdoors. Try southern Utah, western Montana, or upstate New York even.

If you must visit a city, go to Las Vegas, Tampa, Miami or maybe San Antonio. If you insist on going to one of the cities mentioned, go to New York.

Dallas = Just a place you work
    L.A. = a hole!
S.F = cold, dirty, creepy. Some nice places if you get away from S.F toward the north or far northeast (past Sacramento)
NY = Center of the universe but filthy dirty
