Text feed for the week of Jan. 6 Gallivan Becomes State Senator Patrick Gallivan, an Elma resident and former sheriff of Erie County, was surrounded by family and friends at the Lancaster Opera House on Fri., Dec. 31 as he took his oath as a New York State senator. Gallivan now represents the 59th State Senate District, which includes Erie, Wyoming, Livingston and Ontario counties.
