i am going to Canada on holiday this year and noticed on the Canada Apple Store that an ipod is cheaper in canada than in the UK- so will it work in the UK?

I presume so- providing that all the connections are the same and they use the same software.

What wouldn’t work? It receives its power and music through the USB cable which is universal worldwide. You can download music through itunes just fine no matter what the country.
I have an American iPod and have been living in Europe and no problems at all.
If you bought a canadian Ipod charger to use in America, however, that would not work because of voltage differences.

Yes it will work. If you buy a wall charger, then you might need to buy and adaptor too.
Yes it will, all the ipods are the same… I would just wait to buy the accesories until your back in the UK (charger and speakers and such…)
