How much money should I take for a three week holiday in canada (Toronto)?

Question by Liam: How much money should I take for a three week holiday in canada (Toronto)?
I have no idea what to take. I have the flights pre-booked and paid for and I am also staying with family so accomodation is sorted. I just don’t know how much to take for spending. Any ideas?

Toronto is fairly cheap. If your going to stay for 3 weeks then bringing around 00-4000.

Really depends. If you plan on partying, clubbing, drinking booze and stuff like that it will easily be 0 a night. if your going to be going to the CN tower, Museums, malls. (0)

Really depends on you and how YOU act :)

you don’t need much since you staying at relatives or friends (saves you big bucks from like 100 bucks a night at an average hotel.

Good Luck :)

depending on how much you shop.
i moved to toronto i couple of years ago when i was 18.
    i am a huge shopper.
now the spending in toronto is a bit different.
also depending on where you come from.
the shopping here can be a bit crazy and watch out,
there could be a lot of rude people sometimes.
but i would bring $2000-$3000 if you don’t shop a lot.
if you shop a lot you should bring around $5000-$6000.
i know this seems like a lot.
but this can get you around, shopping, food, and if there is any concerts or events you would like to attend, as well as sight seeing.
of course if you dont feel like taking this much money with you i would bring $1000 in cash.
and a debit card if you have one.
i hope you have a lot of fun when you come here

What do you plan to do? See shows? Shop? Play tourist? Probably $100 a day will work if you have accommodation sorted out (and presumably that would include a few meals as well). Then add a couple of hundred more to take the family out to dinner to say thank you at the end of your stay.
