Holiday in Canada and feel very tired?
Question by Robert: Holiday in Canada and feel very tired?
Ive been in Canada for a couple of days now and planned to stay another 2 weeks. I come from Glasgow, Scotland so the weather is very different! I have noticed ive been feeling a bit tired and sometimes a little sick, could this just be the sun and the heat?

The combination of heat (yes, Canada is quite a bit warmer than Glasgow) and also the extra activities you are taking on – plus a touch of jet lag. Give yourself a laid-back day with a couple of naps, and you should feel better.
Most likely the fact you have been busy and the jet lag.
Sun, heat, humidity, jet lag, altitude, more time driving around, pressure to see places, changes in diet, etc. Few things I would recommend:
* Take a day to relax. Limited driving, no places to go, people to sex, etc. Sleep in a bit, read a book, and spend the day out of the sun. A shady lake, indoors, maybe a day in an air conditioned mall, spa-day, etc.
* Eat smaller meals. When with friends and family, folks tend to do large dinners. Drink lots of water and snack on fruits and vegetables — melons, strawberries, pears, salads, etc.
* Look at getting a good sun hat, sunscreen, and (very important) sun glasses.
* Try rearranging your schedule to see things in the mornings and evenings and finding places to just relax during the afternoon. Cut down on the amounts of stress to be at places at certain times, meet certain people, etc.
