Christians & Jews Do You Have Any Specific Instructions On Distribution of Income?
Question by M Javed Iqbal: Christians & Jews Do You Have Any Specific Instructions On Distribution of Income?
Fair Distribution of Income is today’s biggest problem. In Israel 46% people are living below poverty line, whereas top 5% is immersed in luxuries of all sorts. Similarly in Europe and USA, 2% Rich enjoy all sorts of luxuries including but not limited to personal Jets, luxury ships and holiday resorts, whereas it is difficult for lowest 20% to get 2 square meals a day.
Is there no clear verse of Revealed Message or instruction of your prophet that insists on fair distribution of income. Holy Quran provides this simple instruction:
” Let your wealth not circulate among your rich alone ! ”
Is there any corresponding verse in Torah or NT?
Confuzzed !
You are not confused, but very clear what is required to be done to uplift our less fortunate brethren and sisters! Thank you.

Give your answer to this question below!
Jesus said three times specifically to sell all your possessions and give it to the poor, but that was metophorical. Jonah lived inside the whale and noah carried one of every animal and that is the literal truth.
send me your money, all of it, and i’ll make sure you get into paradise. i promise.
My instructions would be that everyone should give what they choose to give to those less fortunate then them and keep the gvt far away from the majority of peoples money!
There is a HUGE difference between a person choosing to support charitable causes and the gvt forcing the redistribution of wealth.
There are similar scriptures, it just seems everyone ignores it. Look at how much money the Vatican and the synagogues have. I certainty don’t see them giving it away. I believe in god, but not in organized religion….I have read the Quaran (beautiful book), the torah and the bible
You’re confusing religion with politics, income with possession, and relative with absolute poverty.
No, there are no instructions in the Bible regarding income distribution. That would mean that the government had to determine lower and upper income limits, as well as quotas. I highly doubt that that’s what the Quran demands. But of course, those who have more are obligated to share with the less fortunate.
Here’s a few. Of course the Bible also says at least generally “If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat” (2 Thessalonians 3:10).
Acts 2:44 says:
“Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.”
Luke 18:22 says:
“22 So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
Luke 12:33 says:
“Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Acts 20:35 says:
“And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
