@starlight1946 do you remember how he was treated at the republican’s debates by the media? go back and watch…its interesting to see how in one debate that lasted almost an hour, he only got maybe a total of 5 minutes to talk…it was clear that they didn’t want the public to hear him. In all likelyhood it could occur this fall when the market typically has a seasonal downturn. We are also getting oversold on the Dow, so the second dead cat bounce is coming to an end around 10,000 Dow. Look for it to crash worse than it did fall of 2008. The FDIC needs another bail-out when they announce 2nd quarter report today. They quietly post/announce about 5 bank failures every Friday after the market shuts down for the weekend. Not on the MSM. );
I think he meant whena ” Bank Holiday” is used it will be for a two-week period that devalues the dollar against the other global currencies. People will over a two week period, wake up as second class citizens of the world economy.

Yes, just pointing out the problem is more severe in China.
For a long time China gov’t did not run deficits. Fed prints money by buying treasuries. PBOC prints money by buying…? If there is no domestic gov’t debt to buy, they buy the debt of other nations (USA), which also works to keep up a trade surplus.
Now the chinese gov’t is running massive deficits of it’s own. No big need to buy US treasuries to print money, since they have their own deb.t The game has shifted.
It came to my atention that treasuries are being bought by the fed and China has started to bow out of purchasing US debt…does your assessment work towards the US as well as China
