Question by dibble: Cheap holiday to America – where’s the best place?
I want to go to the USA this summer but only a budget! Where is the cheapest place to stay and where do you recommend? I’m a guy in my early twenties and will be going with friend! I don’t have loads to spend on flights/accomodation – few hundred quid!
Should I go to New York? Vegas? Other? Love drinking, clubbing and want to see some good sites!

go to canada. i hate living in america, and they treat you terribly when you go through airport security and customs. it’s not worth it.

money is a big factor and if you want to come to any of the cities here, you will end up spending lots of it if you stay within city limits. vegas can be cheap if you do it properly (they get you in the casinos)…. LA and NYC are the most expensive cities I can think of….. Chicago is like a smaller version of NYC, a bit cheaper, but you can still have lots of fun for not a whole lot of money if you figure out how to do it properly…. Portland, Oregon is cheaper than LA, but the politics are way more liberal there than most places in the US and you’re really close to seattle, vancouver (in canada) and the gorgeous west coast…. the east coast is lame compared to the west…. and vegas is a bunch of casinos and hookers stuck in the middle of a scorching hot desert, lol…. hope that helps…. good luck and have some fun when you get here, mate!!! cheers!
You can go to almost any of those places on a budget. From how you describe yourself, I’d say Vegas.., there is 24 hour fun, cheap food, and a lot of local beauty to see if you want to venture out a bit.
There are so many places like that across america.., if you are over 21 Vegas would be fun.., but so would San Diego, CA .., San Fransico, CA , San Antonio TX, New York, NY, Atlanta, GA, Tenneessee, Washington DC.., and others.
Do some research online as to prices.., and then ask for specific cheap spots.., have fun!
