Recently went to Seattle WA, then Portland ORG, then slowly drove down Highway 101 (stopping off at Astoria, Bandon, Brookings, Eureka, Mendocino, Bodega BaY) to San Francisco CAL.
Want to do another holiday soon – any recommendations? East coast? What about down the middle? Or some of the old cowboy towns? (Would prefer to avoide major cities)

There are some very interesting small towns around Yellowstone. There are also some great ones in southeastern Indiana (Tell City, etc.) There are some caves around that area of Indiana and I took a caving trip and camped in the Hoosier National Forest.
