The rule on passports here (America) is that if you do not have court dates pending or on probation that you can apply for a passport and travel.

    I am assuming your’e a brit?

Normally to travel to the US you would need a Visa… however right now there is a “visa waiver program” for brits (and other nationalities) visiting as a tourist… You fill in a green form on the aircraft and present it with your passport at immigration.

Unfortunately, the form has a number of “Yes/No” boxes which have to be filled in… and any if you answer yes to ANY question (and “have you ever been charged/convicted of a crime” is one question), you are not elligible to travel under the visa waiver program.

You’re only option would be to contact the US Embassy in London and apply for a visitors Visa. Even then, you’d have to disclose any convictions and supply a police certificate and court records… and then it would be up to the consulate staff to decide whetehr or not to grant the visa. There would certainly be no guarantee.

    Good luck!

Apparently you can….lots of others do. Just sneak in like everyone else and if they try to stop you, just sue them and you will be rich.
    America…the land of “oppertunity”!!

  3. In America we don’t go ‘on holiday’, we go on vacation.

    No. (not on visa waiver)

You can apply visa but 99% chances are that ur application will be declined, only hope u can have to get visa if u have gone through rehabilitation process in UK.
