Can I apply for the Provincial Nominee visa if I work under a Working Holiday for 6 months while in Canada?

Question by sgtpepperpaul67: Can I apply for the Provincial Nominee visa if I work under a Working Holiday for 6 months while in Canada?
I’m about to go on a Working Holiday to Canada under the SWAP program and I was wondering if I work there for 6 months under my Working Holiday if I could apply for a Provincial Nominee visa once my Working Holiday has finished?

I beleive the SWAP visa cannot be extended or changed. You will need to contact the agency who manages your SWAP visa and ask them. I couldnt find any mention of this on the website.

http://www.swap.ca/

BUT I did find this.
SWAP visas are not extendible without an LMO.
LMO = Labour market opinion.

So you must go home when it expires and reapply for PR under the provincial nominee program from yout home country.

You will get points for having lived and worked in Canada.

    Call CIC or call the PNP in your province and ask them what to do. Essentially you want to change a working holiday visa to a skilled temporary work permit. Your employer will most likely need an LMO and you most likely will have to leave the country, at least go to the US border to activate the new permit. After you got the new permit, you can continue working and apply with your employer for the PNP.
