Why do American people not celebrate the 8th of March?

Question by a good soul: Why do American people not celebrate the 8th of March?
It is International Women’s Day in Europe (mostly Russia, Belarus, Poland etc.) It is a wonderful holiday when a woman knows that it is her day. There are millions of flowers sold in the stores and streets. Everybody hurries home with flowers and a cake, and the streets look colorful, and the spring feels in the air!!!
Don’t agree that every day is a woman’s day in the USA. I have been living in the USA for 2 years and haven’t noticed it.
I do miss my International Women’s Day.
This year it is Sunday:)

It is women’s day in Italy, too. Restaurants turn away men (I know this from personal experience.)

What can I say except they are all too dang dumb to appreciate the fairer sex.
