When do schools in England return after the summer holidays?

Question by Yas-Heart: When do schools in England return after the summer holidays?
I know they go back in September but I am desperate to find out the very date they go back, is it the 2nd? 3rd? 4th? 5th of September? Thankyou very much!(:

    Go to the website of the local Council you are thinking about, as return to school dates vary over the UK.

    It depends on the school.

    Schools in my borough of London go back on Friday 2nd, but we’re taking it as a training day so the children start on Monday 5th.

    Find your local council’s website, and look for term dates.
