I hate to say this about my country, but our beach sux. Go to Croatia, they have nice beaches. But slovenes are more friendly:)

you’ve probably heard that slovenia have only 42 km of sea coast, so i suggest you drive down to istria, croatia, at least for a day or so. it’s not that far. other than that, portoroz is and ok place, many restaurants and bars, hotels…it’s not that cheap of a place to stay, so it’s not dangerous or anything.it does have the beach feeling, so it’s a good place to be. hope you enjoy it.
