What can we visit on holiday in Belgium?

Question by Sianny: What can we visit on holiday in Belgium?
We are going to Sprimont in Belgium on holiday in July and I was wondering what places are good to visit nearby? We plan to go to Durbuy and Liege for a look round but can anyone recommend anywhere else? Ideally, there may be an aquarium or kayaking somewhere and maybe somewhere to keep a 2 year old happy. We all like castles and old buildings but if you have any ideas I’d really like to hear about them!

Brugge is one of the most beautiful cities I have seen. Granted it isn’t much for a 2 yr old! but is like living in a fairytale. Also Gent is very nice…. There is the zoo and an aquarium in Antwerp, but the city itself isn’t much to see (except the center, but you can see that in an afternoon). You could stay somewhere else and then just take the train in.
