Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca. ( The good shops are in Palma, an hour away)

Or Sitges ,( just 40 minutes in the train from Barcelona.)

Not too crowded? forget that if the school holidays are on. All the best places are packed out.

First off, Spain is a country that really likes to celebrate and to party, therefore, every holiday that they recognize (which are countless, by the way) will be amazing, exciting, unique, and unforgettable. That being said, Spaniards like to take all the holidays as a chance to party so pretty much every holiday is a big event and crowded.

For the ages that you mentioned, I would recommend checking out….

Los Carnavales de Cádiz, February 15th-25th. Takes place on the southern beach of Spain in Cádiz and is a really interesting scene. Everyone dresses up in ridiculous costumes and has a great time with the carnavales nearby and everything. It’s not like the USA where adults dress up in suggestive costumes and stuff, it’s just people being goofy and having a good time.

Las Fallas de Valencia, March 15th-19th. One 5-day party filled with processions of all kinds, historical processions, religious processions, and hysterical processions. The restaurants spill out to the streets and explosions can even be heard all day long and sporadically through the night. Everyone from small children to elderly gentlemen throws fireworks and bangers in the streets, which are littered with pyrotechnical débris all day (and night) long. Plus Valencia is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.

I personally loved both. They are unique and culturally representative of Spain. Good luck!
