I am planning a holiday in Kerela during October.I dont have much information about that place & was confused whether to book an entire package from Kolkata itself or to reach there & approach different hotels.Which would be better?Any other information regarding Kerela Holidays is welcome.

It is better to book in advance. Through kerala govt official site even u will get approved Home stays,and other details. places like Munnar, Tekady, Kumarakom, Wynadu all lovely .Hearty welcome to God’s own Country.

u can booked where u first come in kerala then dont worry all arranged there very easy and not costly there if u have any indian gudie so he can easy help u or find travel friend from india he can easy travel with u
you should know that kerala, (like west bengal) is a quasi-communist state. Inefficiency and bureaucracy are everywhere. Expect to find unions, red flags and strikes/buses not running/shops closed, etc. every other day, there is a risk that some strike or the other will throw off your plans. when I was on vacation, suddenly, all the buses/taxis went on strike and we could go nowhere for 2 full days.
however, kerala is beautiful, but do expect frustration
