I have had deep fried turkey, but not for the holiday. We used to take a huge vet needle and add zesty spice and butter mix into the meat.

I was though under the impression turduckin was a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken. Layers of a variety of stuffing in between. Was I miss led or just different region of culinary termenolgy

You stuff a turkey with some rice dressing, then put in a duck with a little more rice dressing, then put in a chicken and the rest of the rice dressing, the duck will keep everything moist

I have. It is wonderful injected with garlic butter and deep fried. Most northerners haven’t had deep fried whole turkey. I have not heard of it called that way, but deep fried turkey is to die for.. Its is all about what it is injected with… RIGHT

Deep fried turkey is over rated and dangerous! tens of houses are burned each year just from deep fried turkeys. BBQed is much better and a BBQed Turduckin is even better! I make and slow BBQ 1 or 2 every year!

  4. I have never been blessed with the taste of deep fried turkey, though I hear it is wonderful. However, I have had Turduckin, which is NOT all about being deep fried, it is about having a turkey with a duck stuffed inside.
