ok six month vacation…i need five holidays that have good festivals (one in each and in the six month period starting december 20) and some places of interest in the following european countries: the united kingdom (great christmas celebrations, for example), luxembourg, germany, switzerland and italy

Italy: Check out the Duomo in Florence, as well as the huge flea market there. I think it’s called the San Lorenzo Market, but it’s not open Sunday or Monday.
If youre into skiing or snowboarding, try to go to Bormio, Italy. You can have fun messing around on the slopes, then relax at some amazing spas (massage, hot/cold stone therapy, etc)
