It will be cold (but probably still just above freezing), and the Netherlands will probably be damp as well. I’ve done NL twice in December/January and Paris in December, and it’s tolerable. You’ll find the best prices for air travel from Nov-March, and the hotel rates are usually cheaper, so if price is a big deal, winter’s a better time to go. If you’re into the outdoors, I’d wait until spring. “Shoulder” season runs from April until mid-June — the prices are not as good as winter, but better than summer. Let me know if you have any further questions.

It’s a good time to visit, but if you don’t know anybody there, it will be very boring on Dec. 24 and 25. I suggest going and coming back right before the holidays, or going right after.

And it’s REALLY cold, so be prepared…
