As is true for the rest of the EU, those who have EU or UK passports do not need a visa. You don’t need a visa if you are from Canada, Australia or the US either. It is, technically, a part of the UK as well, but if you have a passport from somewhere other than the above countries then you may want to get it double checked by someone with more authority.

I’m not sure if gibraltar is part of the EU in fact I don’t think it is…….but I’m british and I have been there with just my british passport, I’m pretty sure no visas were needed! Also gibraltar is a british overseas territory so I wouldn’t thought british people would need a visa to go there.
Gibraltar is a British protectorate. It is not part of the UK. Gibraltar is selfgoverning. You may be allowed to visit Gib. All you have to do is phone the foreign office in London and ask them.
Gib is terchnically in the EU because of it’s relationship with the UK. The tax laws differ. You can only bring so much duty free goods out, which differs from EU countries.
