Constitution DaySpain
Farmer’s DayGhana

Independence DayFinland
St. Nicholas Day (Catholic)Ukraine
As Jehovah’s witnesses we are probably being chastised in these countries for not celebrating them.
Tomorrow they’ll be another 1/2 dozen holidays around the world. Should we celebrate all them too?
What makes your holiday’s more important than theirs and vice versa?

I just don’t live in those countries. I’m not a citizen, so I don’t celebrate.
I’m an American….I live in America….I celebrate the holidays relevant to me.
I’m not celebrating those holidays as I don’t live in those countries. The holidays I celebrate are not more important than others.
I don’t celebrate any holidays, seriously. I only go to parties because people want to make a big deal out of that day, I just think that if it’s a good day that day then it’s worth being happy about.
Holidays are fun, they give people a break from the daily grind.
Why do you feel so persecuted ?
Investigate that emotion.
I don’t live in any of those countries, so no.
We celebrate St. Nicolas Day. We are American atheists.
I do not believe my celebrations are more important than any others. Not all holidays and celebrations are relevant to me or my family, and so we do not celebrate them. There is no point in partaking in a holiday that has no meaning for you. I am not from Spain or Finland or Ghana, so why would I celebrate holidays specific to their cultures/countries? I would not expect someone from Japan to celebrate Thanksgiving.
To Robert Abuse: It doesn’t take a lot of investigation to discover genuine and concrete persecution of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Real persecution tends to make one feel persecuted. A phenomenon you might want to investigate further. Like WW II when Jehovah’s Witnesses were persecuted by the Nazi’s, Allies, and Communists.
