I was in Belarus at the end of 2008 for 3 weeks. Okay it was bloody cold – but I had brought warm clothing with me. Where is the problem?
The alleged Presidential Palace (3mins 24 sec) is in fact Rebublic Palace in the centre of Minsk. The President lives elsewhere. Great research dick head!!
A railway balls-up in Belarus – the Brits have balls-up their railway system for the last 20 years! Don’t be put off going to Minsk – it is well worth a visit.
Or go to Vancouver, BC where you will get vanished by rain. Belarus is heaven on Earth in terms of weather comparing to Canada and/or England.
Go to Toronto, Canada or Sudbury, Canada and tell me then if Borisov, Belarus is hell in terms of cold in winter..

I’ve been to Belarus a few times and going back again in about 10 days. It’s certainly different compared to UK, but I love it.

I’m going to visit Minsk soon and am thoroughyl looking forward to it. Hope it’s as good as Budapest, Zagreb and Vilnius.

Belarusian vodka is the best in the world. Half a bottle of White Stork takes you to Happy Land in no time at all. I was staggering around the streets of Mogilev like an alkey tramp,swearing at passing cars until the police turned up, beat me up and said if I ever returned to Belarus I would be wearing concrete boots at the bottom of a lake. I wish we had coppers like that in the U.K. It would sort all our problems out!

I have a Belarus sister in law. She is sweet and makes my brother happy. I am looking to find more information on this country and this culture… this was an interesting video, but I agree, there wasn’t much of anything other than complaints about the cold… I was in that part of the world before and I agree, it is really-really cold there…. I don’t know how people can live there….

no my problem is i just cant spell :-{ .i had an amazing time over there. and spent a fantastic night with an beautyfull woman on that sleeper train going back up to minsk. we still stay in touch.. great country with great strong and proud people
