Learn Swedish: Common Swedish holidays
Annotation added: Pingsdagen is meant to be spelled pingsTdagen (with a T, that is) even a Swede can make a mistake, but a correction will always be added. To learn about holidays/celebration, look up each holiday on wikipedia, google, etc.
Please read below about the video. I’m quite worried about this lesson that people are to comment on it pointing out all that’s wrong with it. I have looked up all of this very carefully, I studied for you guys. I learned about holidays that I didnĀ“t know of. I am sure there are more holidays in Sweden, if you read the calender, but I figured I teach the most common ones. Anyhow, I find it hard to keep track on which holiday is a “helgdag” etc, so it confuses me, too. But atleast you learn what holidays most people celebrate in Sweden and what their names are, right?
That’s what matters. Since Christmas is on its way I figured it would be nice to finally teach you some holidays and other celebrations in Sweden and other parts in the world. But mainly the holidays we have in Sweden. I may have forgotten some holiday but I can’t keep up with everything. Sorry. I put alot of work into this and enjoyed it. So, I hope you will, too! I know many of you have requests a video of holidays for so long now and that’s why it’s now here. Thanks for your support and time. I appreciate it – always.
