I wanted to try Italy, but I would like to be fairly certain of getting some good time in the snow.

You could try the Alps – Italian, French, Swiss, and Austrian. I’ve heard they are all good.

I would highly recommend you going to either France or Austria. The snow and the quality is about the same, but I phrefer France because Austria got the worst food in the world. There is several good snowparks and long slopes both places.

In France, you should be thinking about going to Val Thorens or Alpe d´Huez. I’ve never been to Alpe d´Huez, but my brother has been a skii instructor there, and he tells really good about it

In Austria, you should be thinking about going to Sct. Johann – from there, there is alot of oppertunaties to get far around. Or Sct. Anton.
