During our week there my 12 year old twins both suffered from vomiting. I would not leave them alone like this for a minute because they were so miserable and needed looking after. Why therefore did the McCann’s friends leave their young daughter alone in this state – does it really ring true? What if she had choked on her own vomit?

I agree with you. Its a joke really! My daughters the most precious thing in the world to me. I would kill myself if anything happened to her due to my negligence.
