Im wondering if anyone can recommend at good resort/ apartment to go to in Portugal.
We are a young couple so we are looking for somewhere that is close to a beach,, lots to do during the day(like taking day trips) and some good night life as well??

Where in Portugal? It’s not exactly a village ….
I would suggest browsing through what’s on offer in www.hostelworld.com. I’ve used it for Portugal twice and found nice budget accommodation both times. Read all reviews very carefully.

You have the Cliff Bay, Royal Salvoy, the Reids, the Hilton hotel in the Algarve..etc;)

You could try Clube Albufeira in The Algarve.
I have been a few times and it really is a great place and has just had a path/road built that takes you into the Old Town and beach.
Their are plenty of shops were you can book trips out and visiting Zoomarine is a must.
The Algarve is an obvious choice as it is on the coast, lots of beaches.
Will you have a car?
For a central location with good travel links then Albufeira old town would be a good option. Have a look at http://albufeira.com/ for further information.
If you don’t mind travelling a bit further West then consider Lagos. A mixture of old and new, a marina, excellent beaches and restaurants.
Day trips – dolphin watching, Zoomarine, slide and splash.
The alternative is Sintra/Cascais further north. You could combine this with a day trip to Lisbon.
Go somewhere in villamoura in the algarve, its got a lovley big arena with lots of livley upbeat bars, casinos and reastrants and its very near the beach. Also try the marina bar crawl, so cheap and such a great night.
