What should i wear to samokov”?
Hi me my husband and 10 year old are going on holiday to samokov for christmas and would like to know if anyone has been and what to expect and what to wear any replies would be helpful

I was in BG over New Years and for the entire month of January this year and I found just long pants, boots, and a jacket/medium weight coat were usually enough. It was very snowy and cold some days, so I would take some warmer layers to add if needed. I only had to bundle up with a scarf, gloves, boots, snow pants, etc. about 4 times over a month. Have a great time in BG, it is beautiful in the winter!

i lived in Romania, the northern neighbour of BG for many, many years … BG winters are good, old style. think Michigan if not Minnesota.
have layers, good shoes, boots. nothing too flashy though, they will spot you too fast as a foreigner.
