I was told today that you cannot get into america if you have a criminal record and that you have to visit the american embassy for an interview and your request declined- if this is the case what crime do you have had to commit?

Answer by Charlie Canada, the UK, the U.S.,and several other countries routinely do criminal background checks on visitors attempting to enter their country. UK citizens can ordinarily visit the U.S. under the visa waiver program. But any person who has been arrested must declare this and cannot enter under the visa waiver program. They must apply for a visa, and often must wait several years, and/or go thru a pardon process. This works both ways between the UK and the U.S. see site below. Now,all visitors who want to travel to the U.S. under the visa waiver program must register for ESTA…if you do not receive approval thru ESTA, you must apply for a visa .

Answer by Adam Number one you need a visa regardless of if its a holiday or work etc and the longest you can stay on holiday is six month’s.

Im going to Orlando next year from Ireland and its my first time going to U.S.A and am really excited about it.All I want to know is what are some good Shops (Stores you call them) to buy some clothes and are they in the Orlando area? What are good things to do at night and at weekends for a 16 Year old Guy. Also are the people welcoming because my cousin who has gone to America (Chicago to be precise) said they are very friendly.
