Brazil is the largest country in Latin America. It spreads across almost half of South America, and occupies a total area of 8,5 mio km2. It is the fifth largest country in the world. Except for a small number of islands, Brazil is a single and continuous landmass. The Equator crosses through the Northern region, near Macapa, and the Tropic of Capricorn cuts through the South of the country, near São Paulo. The official language is Portuguese; the accent and the intonation, however, are very different from what one hears in Portugal and other former Portuguese colonies. Some people say that Brazilians speak “Brazilian”. The mixture of races has made Brazil a culturally rich and at the same time unique country.Video brought to you by Travelindex Network and Travel & Tourism Foundation. Question by burp_eer: Is it exchange rate higher for the Euro in London or in Portugal?
Going on a holiday in Portugal this Saturday. Wondering will the exchange rate be better in Portugal or I am better off buying the Euro here in London? Thanks
Best answer:
Answer by Manlin T Your best option is to withdraw Euros with your ATM card (not visa card!) as soon as you arrive in Portugal.
This way, you do not have to pay any commissions, and you get a better inter-bank rate than at your bank in UK.

Question by twiggy_3: Is there fun things to do in Portugal?
I’m going on holiday to Portugal and I don’t like holidays and to make it worse it’s a private villa with private beach and pool so I can’t really meet people. I hate holidays ’cause of hot weather, sunbathing and things but I love History, is there any interesting historical sites I could visit? (:
Best answer:
Answer by Life’s a beach Mourinho oh yes, thousands of fun things!
History is all around. We (Portugal as a country) are here since 1147 and before that the Moors, the celts, the vikings, the romans, the fenitians, the greeks, etc. Ulysses was the founder of Lisbon, for ex.,
But it depends on the place where you’re staying. Portugal is a small country, but it isn’t that Small!
check this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monuments_of_Portugal
as you will see the list there is big and olny represents a tiny part of our history.
