Thinking perhaps South East Asia? Which is the best location for cheap buys and good food and nice, relaxing atmosphere?

I’ve been to Argentina a couple of times and my parents go all the time. I don’t know what the exchange rate is right now, but you can eat like a king . Argentina has great steak, Italian food. and European influenced food.
As for shopping, it is great for leather products, shoes and furs. You can easily pay for the trip from the US if you buy some leather coats and furs, pocketbooks, etc.
Also, if you need some dental work, my mom has saved a bundle going down there for expensive procedures.

Hong Kong has cheap shopping, but can be a bit stressful. thailand, esp. Chaing mai, there is cheap shopping, and less stress. You can relax at a spa, and shop at the night market.
Cheap would be China. Europeans and the Brits are coming to NYC to shop because of the weak dollar.
