I’m writing a story about junior highschool kids in the Outskirt of NY…
but the thing is I don’t know how their school system works (I live in asia)
I wanna ask: When School starts? Is it in January (but its still winter)? or April (spring of course)??
and how long is summer vacations? (plz put dates and months)
when will they have a school break? (end of year holiday)
Answer in full detail is much appreciated…(Extra information is encouraged)

The school year in the USA actually starts in September (the first Tuesday after the first Monday in September).
They have the summer (June, July, August) months off.
