I have been in Wuhan, China for 4 months (totally sick of the place and the temperature) and have 2 weeks to holiday somewhere else in Asia – any suggestions? Was thinking Thailand?

I really like South Korea – friendly industrious people, great food – stable democratic government – safe – lots of history to see.

Thailand is a great place…lots to see and do…great food…great shopping…someof the best beaches in the world and lots of great night life in the cities….I would say go for it…it is a very inexpensive place too.
depends on what you want, if you want sunshine and beaches…thailand, bali are great choices.
if you want to go to big cities, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taiwan are nice…Hong Kong can be quite interesting for the Chinese New Year btw.
if you want to do the whole cultural/historical theme, Tibet, India, Cambodia would be the good choices…
and if you want to go to multiple countries, you can try malaysia+singapore+thailand in 2 weeks, they’re next to each other and easy to travel around.
Yes, Thailand is a good choice, especially Bangkok also see or visit Phataya, I think maybe i misspell that word but any how, it is by the sea shore and beautiful beach area and wish you the best.

do you want to see a lot of temples built by the great kings even the king of Egypt cant effort?
do you want to know how the Ancient Empire started war or made war ?

if you want to know all these, The best place to visit is Angkor wat temple in Siem Reap. and the beach in Shiahanouk Ville, very natural beach, alot of places to visit but it depend on the time you have, if you want to see the VERY natural mountain or forest it takes you so much time but i can recommend you somewhere like Pailin in Battambang Province(waterfall, Blue Mountain ….), Rattanakiri and Modulkir (waterfall, natural mountain, wildlife….) very very green country.
acutally there is no difficult rule for you to be aware of. The big thing is you have to aware of is accused of being sex with children.
The Hotel rate is cheap, you can find it every where when you reach Phnom Penh, guest house is more cheaper.
everything here is not expensive at all.
