Q&A: How much expenses to expect for a holiday in vancouver island?

Question by sedjet_c: How much expenses to expect for a holiday in vancouver island?
i’m from asia. I’m planning to visit a friend who lives in vancouver island and i’m charting my expenses for travelling and food. How much should I expect in spending for food on a daily basis? I would also be most appreciative if you have other miscellaneous expenses to add to that. Thank you.

I think it would be safe to say to leave at least $30 for budget food a day, $100 plus a night for budget accomodations, travelling is really hard to figure out, but gas is currently $1.20 a litre, so figure out how many litres/km you will be going. Don’t forget the ferry costs $50 plus per trip. You will run into costs to visit museums, parks, art galleries, etc.

  2. You need to take a ferry. I think the website is http://www.bcferries.com

    food should just be average.

You should go have tea at the Empress (a famous hotel) they serve very good food as well
