In the UK they have 8 Public holidays per year:

I think July the 16th should be a Public holiday..

The more the merrier for hotelier like me!..coz more holidays means more extra bonus for me loh!
i can make good profits through public holidays coz thats the time, people will spend nuts for their holidays!

there are pro and contra for each desicion ..
for me it’s enough..as a multiracial country.
advantage for staffs.. holiday / triple pay.
disadvantage for 24/7 operation company…

i am okay with current total days. i’ll be grateful if my employer would approve Nuzul Quran, Awal Muharram & Mawlid as public holiday, in our company…. =(
I’m quite comfortable with current no. of public holidays however my boss do not declare 2 days (Thaipusam and Nuzul Quran).
I believe Germany has the most public holidays…
