It is Multi-cultural month at school and I picked asia?
Question by Nat: It is Multi-cultural month at school and I picked asia?
I have a blank piece of computer paper to work on. It is a simple formative grade, we can plan it ourselves, but i wanted to overachieve a bit. Can you tell me some information on asia: holidays, food, clothing, pictures I can draw(kimonos), any alternatives to christmas. (Many were doing Hanukkah, kwanzaa, christmas, ramadan) Please and thank you ^^

When you say Asia, you mean the continent, right? There are only seven of those and they let you have the biggest one in the world? Not to mention the most diverse. You’ve got from the Middle East to Japan, from Russia to Indonesia. How about drawing traditional Russian clothes, or Chinese, or an Indian sari, or Yemen, or Filipino, or do you really want to me to list all the countries in Asia?

You want holidays, how about Chinese New Year. How about Diwali (it’s from India), Ramadan applies to Asia too (since you’ve got the Middle Eastern countries, and other Muslim countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc).
Food is about the only thing that’s relatively easy since rice is eaten all across the continent (though different kinds of rice, and some places eat it with a spoon, like Thailand, others with chop sticks, like China, others with their hands, like India). And there are so many different ways to prepare it. What about tea? Tea is huge in Asia, you’ve got Indian chai, your milk teas, Taiwanese bubble tea, green tea, etc. And Arabic coffee is totally something you should check out.
You have so much to work with, I have no idea how you’ll limit yourself to what you actually put on this paper. You should have like twenty people on Asia.
