Where is a good and cheap place to holiday in Asia if I just got dumped?
Question by Jill C: Where is a good and cheap place to holiday in Asia if I just got dumped?
Yes, dumped. My boyfriend of six years just dumped me and I found out he has been sleeping with someone else for two weeks. I bought a ticket to see him and can’t get a refund till three months later. So, I am broke, heartbroken and feels like my life has shattered into a million pieces overnight. I need to go somewhere where I can be alone and quiet and don’t need to talk to anyone..somewhere I can heal.

Does Malaysia or Vietnam have the best tropical islands in South East Asia for a holiday?
Question by melissa b: Does Malaysia or Vietnam have the best tropical islands in South East Asia for a holiday?
Hi! My husband and I have spent our last two holidays in Phuket and Koh Samui in Thailand. For our holiday in December year, we would like to visit another country but can’t decide.
We are looking for a beautiful tropical island in either Malaysia or Vietnam, with beautiful beaches that are safe for swimming.
Does anyone know what the best islands are to visit? We are looking for islands similar to Phuket and Koh Samui, ones that have touristy areas but also have unspoiled beaches.
Any advice on hotels or resorts will also be appreciated! Thanks!
Best answer:
Answer by hanz
It definitely has to be Malaysia. There is Perhentian island, Langkawi, Sipadan (in Sabah). All are first class islands and definitely on par with Phuket and Koh Samui if not better. But islands in Malaysia will be less happenings in the night.
For truely inspoiled beach, I recommend Sipadan island.
There are very limited islands in Vietnam, and it’s certainly not that type quality of Phuket and Koh Samui.

WWW.GOODNEWWS.WS Buddha’s Birthday
goodnews.ws Buddha’s Birthday. the birthday of the Prince Siddhartha Gautama is a holiday traditionally celebrated in Mahayana Buddhism. East Asia except Japan. In all east Asian countries, except Japan beginning in 1873, it is held on the 8th day of the 4th month in the Chinese lunar calendar, and the day is an official holiday in Hong Kong, Macau, and South Korea. The date varies from year to year in the Gregorian calendar: * 2003: May 8 * 2004: May 26 * 2005: May 15 (This was a Sunday; hence, May 16 was a holiday in Hong Kong.) * 2006: May 5 * 2007: May 24 * 2008: May 12 * 2009: May 2 * 2010: May 21 * 2011: May 10 * 2012: May 28 * 2013: May 17 * 2014: May 6 * 2015: May 25. Japan; Japan adapted to the Gregorian calendar rather than the Chinese lunar calendar in 1873. The 4th month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar is translated into April or May. Therefore Buddha’s birth is celebrated on April 8 or May 8 in many Japanese temples. The original Chinese Calendar is rarely used. Lord Buddha’s birthday is one of the foremost festivals celebrated on the land of China. It is observed on the eighth day of the Fourth Moon. Legend has it that at the time of Buddha’s birth, 9 dragons spat on the water. Chinese celebrates the festivals of Buddha (Bodhisattvas) in the Mahayana tradition, according to the Buddhist calendar. The most significant celebration comes in the month of May on the night of the full moon, when Buddhist all over the world celebrate the birth, enlightenment and …

In harmony with the rebirth of nature, the Persian New Year Celebration, or Norooz, always begins on the first day of spring. Norooz ceremonies with thousands of years history are symbolic representations of two ancient concepts – the End and the Rebirth; or Good and Evil. with various local pronunciations and spellings, meaning ‘New Day’) is the traditional Iranian new year holiday celebrated by Iranian people and initiated in Ancient Iran. Apart from Iran, the celebration has spread in many other parts of the world (specially the parts which belonged to the Greater Iran) including parts of West Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, Northwestern China, the Caucasus, between kurdish population of Turkey, the Crimea, Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia. Nowruz marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the Iranian year. It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox (the start of spring in the northern hemisphere), which usually occurs on March 21 or the previous/following day depending on where it is observed. The term Nowruz first appeared in Persian records in the second century AD, but it was also an important day during the time of the Achaemenids (c. 648-330 BC), where kings from different nations under the Persian empire used to bring gifts to the emperor (Shahanshah) of Persia on Nowruz.

I have recently travelled to most of S.E Asia, Indonesia and Malaysia which I love I have done a few trips to the US in the last 2 years and a lot of Europe. Am wondering if anyone else who likes beaches, jungles and holidays on the other side of the world has been anywhere really awesome recently that is a bit more off the beaten track.
I have ideas but I thoght it would be interesting to see if anyone else has been anywhere that really stands out. Not into package holidays!

Edit: Sorry it’s not very beaten off the track but it really stuck out for me!

yes it is OF COURSE . But to make things more economical and swift we have to facilitate this by :
- Imprison all communist parties in Gitmo
- Ban on strikes and pseudo human right commission
- Boot out the congress govt and try it for passive terrorism
- elect L K Advaniji as PM.
– Make TADA stronger against moslems and congress …….
when those collaborative steps take place we will be in a better shape to work with US

How to find a bargain holiday?
Question by tablamaster: How to find a bargain holiday?
Can anyone tell me what the best way is to find a bargain holiday? Cheers.
Best answer:
Answer by mia170107
i have found some bargains in the past Justby ssearching through various sites including teletext, icelolly.com, a1 travel.com etc.
you will probably find that many of these carry the same packages so compare them then give them a call to see if they can beat the lowest price you can find.
Another way is booking everything entirely separately. Foe example Ryanair do £5 and £10 flight deals so look at which destinations you can go to and then research hotels in that area to find one which suits your requirements and budget. You will also have to think of transfers so also check how far your hotel is from the airport. sites like resorthopper.com offer coaches to and from resorts but if their is 4 of you travelling it may be cheaper to book a private transfer ( can also be done on resort hopper.com)

Gerald Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts… The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions – all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012. Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week. Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts. Were going to see the end of the retail Christmas.were going to see a fundamental shift take place.putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree, said Celente, adding that the situation would be worse than the great depression. Q&A: Air Asia flights cancelled for tomorrow morning, we have connecting flights… What to do?!?
Question by perkie173: Air Asia flights cancelled for tomorrow morning, we have connecting flights… What to do?!?
Hi guys
Huge problem. Me and my husband are currently in Vietnam on a visa run holiday. We are due to fly back to Bangkok tomorrow morning at 7.45am and 30minutes ago I received a text message from AirAsia to say the flight has been cancelled, sorry for any inconvenience. Well its a fricking huge inconvenience as we have to re-enter Thailand before the 22nd May to receive the last 3 months on our non immigrant O Visas. They sent me a phone number to call but say there working hours are 8am to 9pm and we are supposed to be on the plane by then. I have looked online for similar stories as the AirAsia site says nothing that I can find to do with cancelled flights and it seems people have been forced into paying for a later flight on the same day at almost triple the price and not offered a refund or any credit for this flight. We are also meant to be flying back to Koh Samui (flight booked for 7.45pm tomorrow night) and so this flight is going to be wasted as well (The only other flight available tomorrow on their website does not get into BKK until 7.25pm). Please please can someone tell us what to do, we are sat in our hotel room in Saigon now completely panicking. Please help somebody please!
Best answer:
Answer by Katlady
If you are forced to pay extra, try to use American Express or a Visa from Capitol 1 or Citibank. They may help you recover this extortion fees. Since it is beyone your power, I would think it shouldn’t be a problem. Then again, I am in the States, we aren’t as uptight here about stuff like that. Good luck, hope all works out.

So many great deals for Nepal you will be spoilt for choice even found some villas there if that is what you want, but there are lots of flights to kathmndu especially so its cheap for a family holiday when your out there too and you can get good deals for insurance too. This place will blow you away whne your out there and I prefer it to India as it’s very noisy and polluted there now, even my Austrials mates thought it was the best destination for an awesome asian holiday. Planning a good trip in Asia, which destination?
Question by Radi: Planning a good trip in Asia, which destination?
Hi,
I’m planning a trip in our holidays in April and I am wondering how to choose the right destination between many different holiday packages I am being offering nowadays.
China (Beijing-Shanghai-Hangzhou), Bali, India, Maldives or Mauritius?!
I’ve never been to these countries before.
Last year when I asked here about a better destination between Maldives and Thailand, almost everyone suggested me to go for Thailand and it is a MUST-SEE destination indeed.
I’m interested in photography and my wife interested in shopping.

Any latest feedback on Air Asia’s service (Manila – Kota Kinabalu)?
Question by backpack traveller: Any latest feedback on Air Asia’s service (Manila – Kota Kinabalu)?
Since it is a national holiday on August 25th, my friend and I decided to spend 3 days in Kota Kinabalu. I checked Air Asia’s rate and was delighted that its only Php 4,500 (US$ 102) for a roundtrip. However, I was browsing through the net and have read a lot of bad stories/experience about Air Asia, most of it though are dated quite a while back. I was just wondering if anyone of you guys had tried Air Asia recently, say 2008? Are they any better from the stories I read online?
Best answer:
Answer by Geoff M
We travelled with them nearly a year ago. There is no assigned seating so it is a mad rush to get onboard the plane to find a seat. The seats seemed cramped and the planes old.
Personally I would find another carrier – do Cebu Pacific run that route? Air Philippines (they have some good deals lately)?
