    I agree it is for the kids. Not all religions have the same meaning for Christmas or Easter but they are holidays just the same. So the symbols are still there as a reminder.

    Santa Claus – 3 wise men – bringer of gifts
    Easter bunny – rebirth – eggs start of new life
    - bunny – lots of little rabbits

    The symbols let many cultures and religions celebrate these 2 days.

    bunnies reproduce quickly and are a sign of spring, and santa claus there is a story about 3 girls who couldn’t pay dowry and he snuck the money in at christmas.
