Northern Lights from Karasjok, Norway
Footage of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) from my 2008 adventure to Karasjok in Norway. Filmed using a Sony XDCAM EX1. If you want to join me in 2010 on a further trip to Arctic Norway to film the Aurora take a look at www.wild-weather.com

My wonderful and lovelly Norway!
I´m from Portugal but Norway is the country I admire the most, not only for the breathtaking landscapes but also and mainly because of the way norwegians live, with a deep respect for nature. I think they are a level above all of us.
Jeg elsker Norge!!!

yes , because it is not darkness in the north in the summer …. but maybe you get to see it
@snocross5544 True but the Midnight sun would prevent you from seeing them they say the best time to see them is from around September to April.

So magic! Would love to see northern lights once too.
well i will be cold in Norway so i could go to 13 – i live in Norway where the lights appear ask me of questions if you like
Its only on the winter but a cruise and where i live in Norway where the lights appear so send me a message and i will answer on qouestions
We had an EX1 and EX3 down to -36c.
They occur all year round, but in the Summer in high latitudes the nights are very short and north of the Arctic Circle it is daylight for 24 hours so the opportunity to see them can be short or non-existent. In the winter you can have almost 24 hours of darkness. I’m going up to Northern Norway tomorrow and it will be dark from 3pm until 9am, 18 hours of darkness.
Do the Northern Lights only appear in winter? I’m going on a cruise to Norway in the summer and would so love to see this amazing sight.
